A Brief Introduction
Established in 1983, Rajaji National Park covers over 800 sq. km, spreading across Haridwar, Dehradun, and Pauri Garhwal. The park was named after the freedom fighter C. Rajagopalachari, affectionately known as Rajaji.
Rich Wildlife and Flora
Home to a variety of wildlife, Rajaji National Park is famous for its Asiatic elephants, tigers, leopards, deer, and over 300 bird species. Dense forests of sal, teak, and bamboo make it a lush green sanctuary that attracts tourists and researchers alike.
Jungle Safari Adventure
One of the top attractions in Rajaji is the jungle safari. Visitors can enjoy an open jeep safari to explore the wilderness and catch glimpses of wild animals in their natural habitat. The Chilla range is one of the most popular safari zones.
Best Time to Visit
The park is open from mid-November to mid-June. The best time to visit is between December and March, when the weather is pleasant and animal sightings are more frequent.
