Deoria Tal: The Crystal-Clear Lake
Located at an altitude of about 2,438 meters, Deoria Tal is a stunning lake known for its calm, mirror-like waters that beautifully reflect the surrounding Chaukhamba peaks. The easy 2 km trek from Sari village makes it accessible even for beginners.
The lake offers a peaceful environment, perfect for camping under the stars. Early mornings here are magical, as the rising sun paints the Himalayan ranges with golden hues, creating picture-perfect moments. Deoria Tal is also a paradise for bird watchers and photographers.

Chopta: The Mini Switzerland of India
Around 30 km from Deoria Tal, Chopta is often called the “Mini Switzerland of India.” It is a lush green valley surrounded by dense forests and towering peaks. Chopta serves as the base for the famous Tungnath Temple trek, which is the highest Shiva temple in the world.
The Chopta region is ideal for adventure lovers, offering trekking, camping, and panoramic views of the Himalayan giants like Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Chaukhamba. In winter, the area transforms into a snow-covered wonderland, attracting snow trekkers.

- Summer (April to June): Pleasant weather and clear views.
- Autumn (September to November): Best for trekking and photography.
- Winter (December to February): Snowfall adds a unique charm, but roads may be challenging.
